It’s Diwali time and the party is to be hosted in your house. For some reason or the other you may not have the time to decorate the house and you desperately want to do something to make the Festival a wonderful occasion.
Here are some easy to follow tips which will help give your house the perfect decorative finish.
- If you don’t have the time nor the inclination to paint the whole house at least make it a point to splash your living room with a warm and vibrant color.
- Place the ornate framed mirrors intelligently around the house at staggering heights with a focus on the walls or entrance planks.
- Place a flower basket full of marigolds at the entrance.
- Dust the entire front room thoroughly. Cover the sofas, with clean sofa covers. The same applies to the cushions too. Change the curtains and replace them with clean, bright ones.
- Swob the entire house thoroughly, if you did not have time to wash the house.
- And, last but not the least is the Rangoli, without which Diwali decorations will be incomplete. Experiment with flowers such as marigold and rose, silver dust and rangoli colors. Also place a scented floating candle at the centre of the design to give an exotic touch to the theme.
Most importantly, be thankful to God and spend a Happy and Joyous Diwali with your family. After all, you did try your best. Let nothing dampen your spirits.
