- First and foremost tip – plan according to your convenience and affordability. Make a list of the items you need to buy. To make it simple, categorize them under various headings.
- Buy the items than can be stored longer and bought ahead.
- Don’t forget to delegate the tasks to others who are ready to volunteer. Make sure you catch hold of the painter, carpenter and the plumber before itself and fix up things that need immediate attention. Don’t forget to call your priest beforehand if you are organizing a puja at home.
- Work out a bonus plan with your domestic help, if any, and pay some of it in advance. They will be happy to carry out the extra chores on the D day without any complaints. The more number of helping hands, the better organized your party will be.
- Make a list of all the people you have to invite.
- Decide on the menu beforehand itself. This would make your job a lot easier on the Diwali day.
